The appointed members of the Rusk County Emergency Services District #1 are not compensated for their time, but may be reimbursed mileage for official business conducted on behalf of the district at current federal reimbursement rates. 

The ESD does contract out services such as bookkeeping, financial auditing, technology and communications services, and other maintenance needs as necessary for the smooth and efficient operations of the district.
