NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETING
In compliance with the provisions of Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, notice is hereby given of a Regular Meeting of the Board of Emergency Services Commissioners of Rusk County Emergency Services District No. 1, to be held at 1515 Whippoorwill Ave., City of Henderson, Texas, at 7 p.m., March 20, 2025

The following agenda items will be discussed, considered and action taken as appropriate:
***Public Comments***
Any member of the public that wishes to make a public comment must request to be called on prior to the meeting. Requests shall be made to the Secretary/Treasurer of the Board, Gloria Dooley, and comments are limited to 5 minutes per agenda item.
- Call meeting to order and establish a quorum
- Invocation & Pledge of Allegiance
- Roll Call of Departments
- Consider and approve Minutes of previous meetings
- Consider and approve monthly Financial Reports
- Consider and approve monthly Payment of Bills
- Consider and approve any revenue transfers among District accounts
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve any pending items regarding the training facility
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve anything pertaining to radio communications in the District, including upgrades to P25 mobile units for the District
- Consider and possibly approve payment for core samples for the New Salem VFD
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve accepting transfer of real and personal property from the Laneville VFD (to include, but not limited to, transfer of property warranty deed; vehicle title to 2009 Klein tender; vehicle title to 2003 Ford brush truck)
- Consider and possibly approve quote on perimeter lighting controls
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve action on unreturned Agreements for Protection Services from District fire departments
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve accepting extractor from a grant received by the Rusk County Rescue Unit and paying for any differences in cost
- Consider and possibly approve hiring temporary help with organization of District files
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve the purchase of iPad(s)/tablet(s) for Board Member(s)
- Consider and possibly approve for the Crims Chapel VFD signage ($950.00) and synchronizing lights ($600.00) for new brush truck
- Consider and possibly approve a cost of $675.00 per District student in Fire Academy 3 that is not covered under grant reimbursement
- Consider, discuss and approve formation of a Radio Communications Protocols Committee for finalization of policy on Protocols
- Consider and possibly approve allowing fire departments to store training props in the ESD storage building
- Consider and possibly approve the purchase of a “3” fire hydrant for the City of New London
- Consider and possibly approve a cost share with the Overton VFD for 10 complete SCBAs. Cost share breakdown: City of Overton $30,000.00; McMillan Jr. Foundation $25,000.00; ESD $25,410.00 for a total cost of $80,410.00
- Consider, discuss and possibly approve opening of bids for concrete work at the Tatum VFD and possibly awarding bid for project

gift to the District (Section 551.073); personnel matters (Section 551.074); and/or deliberation regarding security devices or security audits (Section 551.076 and 551.089). Action, if any, will be taken in open session.
